Daily skin care regimens that work for all age groups

If you want to have good skin, you should not be lazy. That is my motto. You need to take care of it daily, give it constant care and switch your skin care strategies when you notice something is not right on your skin.
Here are the skin care steps I insist to follow daily:
During the morning:
1.Wash my face with plain cold water. I have dry skin and I do not want to use too much cleanser to dry out my skin. But if you have oily skin, you might need a cleanser in the morning time to wash off the oil secretion. Also, every skin type should avoid using hot water, it only dries out skin.
2.Wear a sun block product which has at least SPF 15 30 minutes before I go out. It takes time for the sunscreen products to activate and the recommended time is around 30 minutes.
During the night:
1.Use a makeup remover to clean the makeup and the sunscreen products thoroughly. Even if you are not a fan of putting makeup on your face, you still need a makeup remover to remove the sunscreen products. Cleansers are not able to remove the chemicals in the sunscreen products and you need something with a stronger cleansing power than that. Make sure you do this every night as you would not want the residues of cosmetics or sun block products to clog your pores.
2.Follow with a facial cleanser. I love making sure my face is all clean and has a nice foundation for the skin care products to be applied later on.
3.Apply toner. I personally think this step is not a must. Some people feel better after using it and some people could live without toners just fine. I am not a big fan of using toner. But if you feel the need to use one, make sure the one that you get does not contain any alcohol in it. Otherwise it would ruin your skin in the long run.
4.Apply specialty serum or essence. If you have a special situation you wish to improve on your skin like brightening, firming, anti-aging…etc., get a serum or essence in that category and use it every night. Of course, if you do not have a special need, there is no point to spend your money in this category.
5.Use separate moisturizers for eye areas and face. You need two moisturizers, one for the eyes and one for the face. Usually you need a richer product for the eyes and those face creams are just not enough to deal with the eye areas.
It seems like a long list, isn’t it? But in reality, it takes at most 10 minutes to take care of your face like what’s been suggested. Again, you should not be lazy if you are looking forward to having fabulous skin.
