Let’s face facts. A woman only looks good if she’s looking fresh and make up free. The catch here is that you need cosmetics to achieve a just kissed by nature dewy glow. There’s no need to use the whole arsenal just a few to even color and give a healthy radiance.

The first step is to consider your face a canvas. Start with a freshly washed face, followed by a toner. Apply a moisturizer all over with swipes and pats. A good one to use is Origins Constant Comforter. This not only leaves skin supple and moist but also infused with botanicals. You can also use the company’s serums to achieve a dewy freshness. Cover up any under eye circles or blemishes with a creamy concealer. There are a lot on the market to choose from. Dab it on in little dots and then blend with a finger If you want you can use a foundation. Most women use a mineral powder one for a more natural look but liquid is fine to if it’s not too heavily dabbed on. For a rosier glow mix it with a pinkish or peach toned liquid illuminator such as Revlon’s Liquid Luminator. The next step is blush. A cream one works the best in this situation. Try a peach toned one such as Ulta’s Bashful or Styla’s Convertible in Lillum. Both give a natural flush. Dab on from the apples of the cheeks out towards the temples. Finish with a dusting of a bronzing powder that compliments your coloring. Use a wide kabuki style blush brush for this, dusting over forehead , temples , nose and chin, Dust off any excess bronzer.

The natural look demands natural eyes. Ditch the eyeliner and concentrate on creating a soft, wide eyed look. Make up companies such as Ulta and Revlon have a wide range of shadows in taupes and beiges. Avoid any shadow that is too sparkly or shimmery. Dust shadow on lids only, foregoing the brow bone. Skip the mascara if your lashes are dark. If you have light colored ones, then use two or three coats of brown mascara. Cover Girl s Lash Exact is perfect for this because it gives fuller lashes without looking too dramatic. If you want your eyes to really sparkle dab a tiny dot of white shimmery eye shadow at the corners or use an eye brightening pencil such as e.l.f.’s on the inside of your lower lids. You can also use a peach lip pencil for this too to cancel out any redness.

Don’t let lips stand out in a natural face. Use a clear but not overly shiny gloss or better still a balm to lightly coat lips. Lip tints are also great for creating a natural looking pout. Try one in a pale pink or coral depending on your coloring. If lips still look too blah, then go with a lightly colored gloss in nude or light rose. Again e.l.f. and Ulta have the perfect ones for this. They make lips look just kissed as opposed to vampy.

The natural look is easy to achieve. Just use colors that are flattering to your skin tone to create a flushed but polished look.
