In her recent book “Free Gift With Purchase,” the Beauty Editor of Lucky Magazine, Jean Godfrey-June, writes: “I’d like to say in every issue that Laura Mercier’s concealer is the best…..” I’ll second that. Mercier’s pot of Secret Concealer is a bit of magic not only as a cover-up but its moisture-rich, emollient formula is also TLC for the dry, sensitive skin under our eyes. The addition of Vitamin E stays moisture loss while Vitamin A conditions skin. I’ve tried them all, and this product’s the best for covering dark circles. Others sit on top and look obvious, but this one not only blends in, it is very effective to cover up. Texture and colour are excellent. I apply with the brush and then blend with a fingertip.

I like the concealer. It's creamy, easy to apply and comes in four colors to match skin tone. It covers well but to really make the darkness dissappear you need to deflect and set with the other products. I would not be happy with the concealer on its own but as part of a "team" it's excellent. Since I'm not only getting darkness directly under the eye but lower on the bone of the eye socket it's important that the shade be perfect and it is. Go to a Laura Mercier counter and pick it out in person.
